Getting to Eggshells in The Outer Banks can be an easy drive from the mainland over bridges, or it can be an adventure on high seas if you choose taking the NC Ferry System; trailers are allowed.

From the North (Norfolk, VA area):
Take VA 168 south to NC158 East thru Nags Head, NC. Then follow NC12 South to Rodanthe at milepost 40.5.

From the West (Raleigh, NC area):
Take US 64 East to Nags Head, NC then follow NC12 South to Rodanthe at milepost 40.5.

Access to Hatteras Island from the South is available via the NC Ferry System from Cedar Island to Ocracoke, and then a second leg to Hatteras Island.
More information on the ferry system and schedules can be found at www.ncdot.gov. Although reservations are not required, they are highly advisable to expedite your journey.

24250 Resort Rodanthe Dr, Rodanthe, NC 27968. This is the street just north before the resort entrance. Go past this street (southward) and turn in at the Camp Hatteras sign on left.
